Explore the historical town of Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay.
Board a ferry and cross the river Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay, to arrive in Colonia, the oldest town in the country.
Upon arrival, you'll set off on a walking tour with an experienced, bilingual guide (English and Spanish) who will take you through the history of Colonia and its architecture, a UNESCO World Hertitage Site. The tour will also takes in 7 museums: the Municipal Museum, Casa Nacarello, the Portuguese Musuem, the Spanish Museum, the Archive Museum, the Native American Musuem and the Tile Museum of decorative arts.
After lunch, free time will be allocated for exploring the city and sites you would like to see at your leisure. Walk along the paved streets, browse through the artisan boutiques and pottery workshops, jewellers and visit the local museums. You can equally enjoy the magnificent surrounding countryside. At dusk, the reflections of the city's lights on the bronze-hued river added to the its beauty.
At the end of the day, you'll return to Buenos Aires by ferry and catch the shuttle bus back to your hotel.
