During this day trip, learn about the Vietnam war by visiting the Cu Chi tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City!
Visitors will leave their hotels in the morning, and head towards the Cu Chi tunnels. During the 90 minute trip, admire the landscapes as well as the buffalo and ducks in the rivers.
Once at the tunnels, take a moment to explore this immense subterrainean area, which is home to tunnels that stretch for as long as 220km. The tunnels were dug by the Vietnamese to protect them and as transport. Practically a city, the tunnels contained kitchens, bunkhouses, armouries, and even classrooms.
At lunch, visit a local Vietnamese restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. There, vsit the Reunification Palace, which was the presidential residence during the war. Visitors will also see monuments built when the country was a French colony, such as the Notre Dame cathedral, and the post office.
The visit will end with a trip to the War Remnants Museum, which is home to military equipement, objects, and photos from the war between Vietnam and the United States.
