Discover Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence and Arles on a small-group day trip from Marseille!
After meeting your guide in Marseille, you'll depart by minivan for Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. On arrival, you'll discover the city's Roman monuments (entrances not included), as well as the old town.
You can also visit the former psychiatric hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed, a must-see for art lovers (admission not included). On Wednesdays, the local market awaits you with its colorful stalls and typical Provence scents.
After crossing the Crau plain, you'll arrive in Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following in Van Gogh's footsteps, you'll discover Roman remains such as the amphitheater, the ancient theater and the church of Saint-Trophime, famous for its 12th-century sculpted portal (entrances not included). You'll also pass the Place du Forum, home to the statue of Frédéric Mistral, as well as the Hôtel-Dieu and Van Gogh's café. If you take the tour on a Saturday, you can also enjoy the Provencal market in Arles.
During your free time for lunch (not included), take the opportunity to discover the medieval village of Les Baux-de-Provence, with its picturesque alleyways and castle ruins. You can also attend the Carrières de Lumières show (ticket not included, closed in winter).
At the end of the day, you'll return to Marseille.
