Conquer the Solheimajökull Glacier during this hike, which includes training in climbing ice!
Meet your guide at the Solheimajökull parking lot just a few kilometers from the glacier for a quick briefing (you may also opt for transport from Reykjavik). Then, head out for your hike. You will first walk along the volcanic rocks, and be able to admire the unique landscape with the ice and rocks.
Once at the glacier, put on your crampons, harness, helmet; grab your ice pick and you're ready to start learning how to climb ice. Your guide will help you during the ascent and you will have 3 hours for climbing and discovering the glacier at your own pace.

During reservation, you will be asked to choose either the hotel pickup in Reykjavik or to main pickup point.
If you have opted for the hotel pickup, the exact time will be confirmed after reservation.

Departure time:
- without transport from Reykjavik: 1pm
- with transport from Reykjavik: between 9 and 9:30am, the exact time will be confirmed after reservation
Departure location: Either at the Solhemajokull parking lot of pickup in Reykjavik
Duration: 4 hours 30 minutes on site (10 hours 30 minutes with roundtrip transport)
Children under the age of 14 may not participate in this activity
The price varies depending on the season and if you have opted for transport
Please wear shoes meant for hiking and warm, waterproof clothing
Walking on glaciers can be dangerous, your guide will make sure that you discover the Solheimajokull glacier saftely
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 3 days prior to the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price. Any reservation made for special dates cannot be canceled, modified or refunded.
