Just 30 minutes from Reykjavik, explore the Raufarhólshellir lava cave!
Accompanied by your expert guide, enter this tunnel created by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. Discover one of the biggest lava tunnels in Iceland, which in some places is 30 meters high before dropping to just 10.
Visitors will see the effects of the volcanic eruption in the lava cave, and admire the different colors created by mineral deposits. Your guide will provide commentary as you visit and show you the hidden corners of the cave.

Availability: Every day, excluding exceptional dates
Time: 9am and 1pm at the main meeting point, the exact time depends on the meeting point chosen; between 8:30am and 9:30am for the 9am departure and between 12:30pm and 1:30pm for the 1pm departure
Departure: the main meeting point is the Reykjavik bus terminal, other meeting points may be near your hotel. In this case, your meeting point will be confirmed after reservation
Duration: 1 hour cave visit, 3 hours total with transport
Please wear shoes meant for walking and warm, waterproof clothing
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
