Discover Hallstatt on this excursion departing from Salzburg!

You'll meet your tour guide in Salzburg and set off on a half-day excursion to explore one of Europe's most beautiful villages, Hallstatt. On the way, you'll pass through picturesque villages like Fuschl am See, Sankt Gilgen and Strobl, arriving in Hallstatt after a journey of around 1h 15mins. You will then enjoy two and a half hours of free time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage village. 

During your free time, Ceetiz suggests you:

  • Wander the cobbled streets of Hallstatt,
  • Visit the "Bone House", next to Hallstatt Church, a small 16th-century underground cemetery housing more than 600 skulls and bones of Hallstatt's citizens
  • Enjoy a short cruise on Lake Hallstatt and take in panoramic views from the water
  • Hop on board the funicular to the Skywalk observation platform 330 metres above Hallstatt
  • Visit the Welterbe Museum to learn more about the history and customs of the village

You will be taken back to Salzburg after your sightseeing.
